Course Description:
This course for licensed clinical supervisors (LCSW, LMFT, LPCC, LEP) of unlicensed clinicians (ASW, AMFT, etc) is designed for beginning to advanced supervisors seeking to strengthen their practice. It provides a comprehensive review of the Integrated Developmental Model (IDM), combined with the Competency-Based Clinical Supervision (CBCS) Model, which helps meet a core supervisory competency. Participants will learn to assess supervisees across eight clinical domains and tailor supervision to each supervisee’s developmental level.
The training includes role plays of supervision sessions to bring concepts into real-world practice.

Learning Objectives
- Define the 3 overarching structures of the Integrated Developmental Model of Clinical Supervision, motivation, autonomy, and self other awareness.
- Apply the Integrated Developmental Model (IDM) and Competency Based Clinical Supervision models as a structured framework to guide supervisory practice.
- Assess and differentiate supervisee developmental levels (Level 1, Level 2, Level 3, and Level 3i) using IDM informed criteria.
- Develop and implement individualized supervisory plans that align with the supervisee’s developmental level and clinical needs.

Select and utilize appropriate supervisory interventions including facilitative, prescriptive, conceptual, confrontive, and catalytic approaches to enhance supervisee competence and professional growth.
